An International Gathering
Comic-Con International is one of the most highly anticipated events on the annual calendar in San Diego amongst those who have a passion for all things comic books, entertainment and beyond. This massive convention invites guests to arrive in costumes depicting their favorite characters and throughout the course of the convention offers up a chance to hear authors, creators, and comic masterminds speak, demonstrate their art, and sign apparel too. The San Diego Comic Con International functions as a non-profit organization, but over the years, guests and fans have simply shortened the name to the highly recognizable Comic-Con. While the themes and comics highlighted at each convention may change, the goal of this convention has long remained rooted in the original concept. Comic-Con is hosted to both foster awareness and appreciation for the comic art form that speaks to and inspires so many people across the globe.
